The manhole inspection videos and pictures are an invaluable and intricate part of evaluating our client’s needs. This allows for Constantine Engineering professionals as well as our clients to assess the integrity of the manholes along with the inverts to ensure proper function of the system. An evaluation of the inspected manholes can usually be done within 24 hours of the inspection date. Our automated systems enable Constantine Engineering to provide the manhole inspection media to our clients via the Internet within a reasonable time.

Manhole Inspection Process
Constantine Engineering has a two step process for manhole inspections. The first step is the field work which is conducted by our highly trained professionals. Constantine Engineering developed a unique method to provide the best quality of manhole inspections for each of our client's individual needs. We provide real time data to our clients which include XY coordinates, invert depths, feature attributes and media. This information is usually provided within a 24 hour time period because we understand that our clients need access to the pertinent information being collected within a reasonable amount of time. The manhole inspection procedures are as displayed below.
Locate and GPS the center of manhole lid (Paint MH (#)
Pull lid and mark directions of inverts with measurements
Take pictures of the surface markings and then each invert
Video each invert in order starting with downstream
During video process, note any defects within the GIS
Infill all data into the GIS and finish media upload (Title)
The second step is the QA/QC process which is conducted by the Project Manager and Project Engineers. Once the QA/QC process is complete, the media files along with the GIS data are made available to the client via the web and/or a direct interface.
CCTV/TVI Analysis
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) /Television Inspection (TVI) is a cost effective method of inspection for both sewer and storm water pipelines. CCTV/TVI inspections help assure proper installation of pipelines in addition to locating problems with existing systems. The information gained by CCTV/TVI is an invaluable tool to the utility owners and engineers to assess the integrity and proper operation of the pipelines.
TCGSUE CCTV/TVI Setup/Analysis Procedures
Depending on the client's needs, we GPS the upstream and downstream manholes of the pipeline to be video'd and enter data into the client's custom database. If the client should require, we would collect manhole and invert data and video the inverts using a zoom camera (see above for manhole inspections). Once manholes have been GPS'd and data has been collected, contract a CCTV/TVI crew to video the pipeline. Upon completion of the pipeline video inspection or in a given interval, the pipeline videos are uploaded to the clients web page located on the client login page for immediate review by the client and/or their designate. Our engineers and project managers will review the inspection data to make recommendations to the client as to the viability of the pipeline and potential solutions if need be.
